That size bearing sounds like something in a gear that has a shaft running through it, maybe a reverse idler gear? I'm not that familiar with the M transmission, but I would look for loose gears and bearings. I would also look beyond just what is broke, If the first bearing went bad, there should be more the same age and nearly the same condition, and it would be a lot cheaper to replace some questionable bearings than to replace damaged shafts and bearings later.
