I dont think the hacksaw would work on the bottom.
The party of the Bolster is much thicker. I think you could use a blade by its self. That would be a heck of a job though.
I wonder if the new thrust bearing is a little narower than the original?
My lower bushing came out with only 2 taps on it.
I dont think there is as much side force put on it like there is on the top one.
