LTF: Your comments about the "back EMF" was missed by many,I think. The kick back from the secondary when the spark actually happens is many times more voltage than the 6 or 12 volts of the battery. Your pertty sharp LTF. Small details of an operating system can be quite different than what one may first think.. harvey
