Before you open the pumpkin, check carefully the electric shift assembly for proper operation. Make sure the motor strokes the shifter arm fully into both the low and high positions. (If it doesn't check for screw shaft binding and for limit switch problems). Check also for a broken big spring the shifter arm winds as it shifts.
