rear axle question: 72 Int'l 1800 Loadstar

I need to take the Eaton 2-stage out of my rear-end, and i need to know how much, and of what viscosity oil do i need when i put it all back together. I think there is some ice in the rear-end now, because the hi gear in the Eaton wont kick in, it'll only go out of low and then make that painful grinding noise. Any help on oil and what else may be wrong with the hi/lo is greatly appreciated. thank you
