I wanted to put nice new mounting screws on my 400 hood panels. . The dealer had several, some being yellowish and some bright and shiney like stainless steele. I told him to pick out enough of the shiney ones to replace all the ones on my tractor. All these shiney ones happened to be 5/16 fine threads and my screws ar 5/16 course thread. Are all these tractors the same or could they used either threads? I like the silver shiney ones and may tap the nut plates out for the fine threads. I am afraid I would screw up the nut plates by replacing the nuts in them.
