Hi Roy The reason for the confusion, Super H's were available with two very different hydraulic systems: the Liftall, or belly punp, which is apparently what you have, and Live Hydraulics, which has the pump located between the distributor and the timing gear, right close by the fan. Since the belly pump is attached directly to the transmission, after the clutch, then if the tractor rolls with the clutch depressed the pump is not likely to be the direct cause of not rolling. This is not to say that tightening the bolts and so moving the body of the pump couldn't have affected something around the clutch and starter; it's pretty close in there. For sure, if you're not using the hydraulics, go ahead and take out the sleeve that connects the pump to the bottom transmission shaft. That'll "remove it as a player," as we say in the trouble shooting biz. Next try taking out the bolts that hold the starter to the housing, pull it out far enough to work the bendix in and out, and then put it back. If that doesn't free it up, write us back. All us guys can come up with all kind of stuff to try.
