Skip the driving over the lake idea, unless your farmall floats... quite a few vehilces have fallen though the ice here in Minnesota. I'd get a heavy duty car trailer to haul your H. 7000-8000lbs capacity. You can buy a new trailer for $1600 to $2500...that's expensive compared to how many more Hs you could buy with that money. You could drive it there, but I would have someone follow me in the truck with the hazard lights flashing. I make a tow bar for pulling a Farmall MD home from the junk yard...the tow bar was cheap, but the 25 mile trip took almost 2 hours- the tractor had fluid in the wheels so 15 mph was fast enough.. I have seen some tractor dollies for the front wheels, but they don't go much faster than 25 mph loaded.
