I have a 6/12 volt charger that I bought about 35 years ago. I have used it to charge 12 volt batteries successfully for many years. I recently picked up two additional tractors and both have 6 volt systems. When I attach the charger to the 6 volt batteries and switch the charger to the 6 volt setting I get no reading on the amp gauge whatsoever. When I scratch the charger connectors together I get a nice spark so its definitely hot.Why no reading on the charger ammeter? Could the battery be at full charge ( its a new battery with only 4 or 5 starts on it )or is there something weird about 6 volt systems? Thanks
