sound to me like you need to take the carb apart and clean it out could have some crud in the bottom and its pluging the main jet opening witch would make the motor starve and by pulling out the choke your forcing gas through the blockage now if i rember right if you take the main screw all the way out it should run gas out of it if it dont them try spraying some carb cleaner up the hole and see it it opens it up if it does then you can try readjusting it and seeing if it will run this is a quick fix if it works and you need to clean the carb out latter...hope this helps sHan
