Dave;
.008" gap between piston and bore above rings
doesn't matter. to correctly measure piston
clearence you need to measure piston diameter
at skirt, 90 degrees from wrist pin and also bore
needs to be accuratly measure from top to bottom
in all directions. this checks for taper and out-
of-round. note: it is rare to find any M that
hasn't been overhauled w/oversize sleev/pistons.
M rod bearing are smooth,plastigage to check clearance.
