Oil Pressure on a 48 Super A

I have a 48 Super A that I just purchased about 3 months ago and have noticed the oil pressure in the middle of the gauge when cold and then drops to the top of the red zone when warm and idling. Is this still in a safe operating range? What weight oil are each of you running? Is there any additives that I could add to the crankcase to up the pressure. It runs good when started.
