My 41 A was doing the same thing so I droped the oil pan and pulled the oil pump out. I took the pump ane submurged only the pickup screan and put my finger over the opening where the oil is pumped out. When you spin the gear and it builds up preasure,if the gasket or the bottom plate is warped you can see it spray out the sides. Mine was warped so bad it wouldn't even pick up the cleanner until you submurged the whole pump. Then all I did was pull the cover off and put a straight edge on it and you could see it. The way I refaced it was I got a sheet of sandpaper and a flat surface and went to work. It took a while, but after it was finnished it improved my oil preasure. Hope this information is helpful.
