Use the first notch of the double set that you come up on as you turn engine over clockwise as viewed from the front. Pointer on this notch will be for TDC on #1 or #4. An assistant should have a finger over spark plug hole to determine which cylinder is coming up on TDC. I will sometimes get a plastic plug to fit in hole tightly and the compression will pop it out. Don't stand in front of plug though it may come out fast and hard! The other single notch is for greasing the pilot bearing. When this notch is lined up to pointer on front cover the grease zerk on flywheel is accessible under tractor to grease. Good Luck, Mike
