Thanks for your post, Bob. Could you please expand on the poor compression? What problems could be present if poor compression is the case? You say valves or ring problem, I can see the valve not setting right and causing smoke, but I'm yet to really get to know the internal functions of engine parts (know the outside with expirence, will probably know inside with expirence (maybe with this tractor)). What work would be needed if valve work or ring work would be needed? Thanks.
