Do not use 30w oil in your belly pump. There is a big difference between 30w and straight 30 weight non-detergent oil. 30w is a winter oil (hence the w). 30 weight non-detergent is necessary because regular detergent motor oil (common oils on the shelf) will foam in a hydraulic situation. I use Hy-Tran or universal hydraulic fluid in my belly pump and I haven't found anything I can't lift yet.
