1949 cub Excedrin Headache #1

Snow has melted,got back to working on my cub today,60f sunny and in my tee shirt,listening to race,with a coke,so far so good.By 17:00 still would not start,turned over easily,new plugs,have spark,compression sucks my finger in plug hole and blows it back out again,wires new, coil new,points new,condenser new,cap and rotor new,have advanced and retarted dist and it sounds promising but it will not go,checked and reset gap in plugs and points twice today.I hate to say this I even tryed ether but no go.Also have new carb on it and it was running before all this snow.
