The 806 Diesel is quite possibly the most reliable tractor IH ever built. The 806 Gas is a good machine, but the big gas engine uses a lot of fuel and engine life dosen't quite compare to the diesel. What kind of specs are you looking for? The guys on this forum can tell you anything you want to know. The 806 puts out about 94 horsepower, the gas engine is a C-301 (301 cubic inch) six-cylinder sleevless engine. The diesel engine is a D-361 six-cylinder dry-sleeve engine (the D-361 and it's big brother, the D-407, found in the 856, are considered by many to be the best engines IH ever built). The 806 has 8 forward and 4 reverse gears standard, and 16 forward and 8 reverse when equipped with a TA.
