If the tractor's been setting awhile the water could be from condensation. Try changing the oil and filter, may have to it do more than once. Get the engine up to operating temperature, run it awhile, and see if the oil clears up. If not, change it and the filter again. In March of 92 I bought a Series IV D17 gas tractor that had set for 15 months-the oil looked like chocolate milk. Had to change the oil and filter twice but was fine after that. We've put 1000 hours on it in the hay fields since then, without any problems. Rod
