I have never heard of the whole fire and cotton balls idea but I have heard of the oil/kero in the cylinders with the pull. I had to do this to my Farmall M when we first got her and I can say without a doubt that this would be much safer than an out of control fire and some bangin'. Trust me, if you drag her around long enough, she'll give up.
