Chad I had to move the split bearing puller right down against the front of the engine cover & really tighten it down to keep the bolts on mine from bending. I also used a propane torch & didn't get it real hot, but fairly warm. If you do that I think you'll get it off with no trouble. Be sure to clean the crank & inside the pulley up with some emery cloth before you try to put it back on. If I can help feel free to email me.
