Battery for an H

Hello All,
I am in need of a new battery for my 41 H. I have read about using an 8 volt over the standard 6 volt. I had a few questions and figured you guys that have tried it may know.

1. What are the advantages of using an 8v over a 6v?

2. I've read you don't have to change anything in regard to the generator when switching to the higher 8v. Is this true?

3. Is there anything I should check PRIOR to installing an 8v on the tractor? (ie, gen output, wiring?)

4. What is the best place to find a 6 or 8v battery? Napa?
