Slappy - Yes to all except: The existing magento-type pull switch for a magneto will NOT work with distributor ignition. (Magneto switch is a "grounding" type switch - it has only one terminal). Need to replace it with a battery ignition pull switch or similar two terminal (single pole single throw) switch.

Also be aware that a single wire alternator may not spin fast enough to excite itself on your H. You may need to install a smaller pulley to make it spin faster. You will know for sure the first time you start the tractor.
