I've doing some work on Farmall 140, a 1963 model with 6 volt positive ground. Today I had the battery removed for installing a new fuse holder amoung other items. I noticed a real heavy aprox 10 or 12 gauge wire in back of dash not connected to anything. This tractor has original wiring harness and this wire goes all the way to front of tractor via the regulator and generator harness and seems to be coiled up under the water pump. I don't like pulling on it in case it is connected to something. Can anyone tell me what this wire is for, as I think I will have to remove radiator to find out for myself. The wires that go to right head light are tied in with it. They come out on right hand side, the heavy wire doesn't. This is the first time I have seen such a wire in the harness of offsets. It must have a use.
