About thirty six years ago, when I was with IH, Hy-Tran was demonstrated to us against SAE 30, etc. The big factor for Hy Tran is that if it gets HOT HOT, it does not harden the rubber items such as O rings and seals. SAE 30 did harden them when it got hot.
