I dont think trespassing is ever a felony. Maybe if you trespass with the intent to do something illegal. I was accused of trespassing and destruction of property earlier this year. I cut down a couple small trees on questionable property such that I could get my car out(regular driveway was blocked). The cop couldnt do much, he said it was a civil matter. Later on, I wrote my neighbor a letter saying I was going to sue her for various things, if she decided to follow through. Then she got the cop back there and he was thinking of arresting me for harassment because of the letter. Writing letters is apparrently not the way to go. :) She threatened law suit just a couple days before in front of the police officer, and that is supposedly ok to do. The officer was probably her friend or something, I dont know. After that though, I never heard from her again so the letter did work. Oh well, some people just like to cause trouble. -Greg
