Magneto problems

I have a '53 Super A with magneto ignition. Sometimes after sitting for a month or so it either won't start or will start and then quit after running for a few minutes. (The gas is working ok)
I check for spark and find very weak or no spark.
I remove the magneto, take it apart, put it back together, re-install it and it starts right up.
This is getting old, although I can do all this in about 15 minutes now (practice makes perfect).
I took the mag into my local dealer and they said it was in good condition. Naturally I have replaced the points, condenser, cap and rotor as well as the wires and plugs. I am looking for any help you can give me.
