Hey guys back for more help. I went out this weekend and did a little digging for the neighbor with my 1206 and ran into a problem. I ran great for about 2 hrs, pulling it pretty hard, and then it decided to run warm on me. I let it idle for a couple minutes and it cooled down enough to get it home. My question is what would cause this? I think the pump might be turned up some, continous black smoke under even lightest load, could that cause it to run warm. I washed out the radiator and it seems to pull air through it good. Another question is I have a leak on the outside of the block were it meets the head, right by the gasket. Could it be a bad head gasket? Also blubbes in the radiator when it is running. Some white smoke, but the coolant level doesn't seem to drop. If you think it is the head gasket, any pointers on removing the head would be great. I am afaid of the news but what do you do it is pushing 40 years old. Any help is great.
