We have an old 400 and it works great. Sometimes it will throw 2 seeds, but that's because the brush needs replacing - doesn't happen very often.

Also, our disc openers are worn past spec, the firming points are not that great either, but it sure raises nice corn yet!!

We bought ours for $1000 a couple years ago. Probably put about $100 in repairs so far with 250 acres seeded.

You will like the single hopper to fill on the cyclo, and the accuracy is very good also.

One thing to mention is that our 6 row takes at least 50 horsepower to operate. I tried it with the SMTA last year and had to run in 2nd gear and that was a load. 544 handles it well.
