460 transmission stuck in gear help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please

Help!!!!!!!!! I recently acquired a 460 gas in average shape,its in a farm about 12 miles away it ran,but its stuck in gear any guesses what the problem may be Im new to the transmission element of one of these so ideas what the problem may be how long might it take to fix I know im vague on the symptoms but all I know is it is stuck. Any input would be greatly appreciated,im sure i need to get it unstuck before I call the wrecker to haul it home. As always thanks in advance
