If it is a farmall. first make sure main clutch has the right free play, about 3/4 inch from deck the little dump valve out the back of MCV should make contect with main clutch at this time just make sure that when main clutch is all the way down pump valve is all the way out but not tight. the TA valve should set on the snap ring when lever is forward and all the way up when in TA but tight in the link under the hood is a forward and back for lever. I would use the TA but when you shaft, shaft like you meen it that is why it has an over senter lever warm up thactor first if that meens making a round or 2 in lower gear in cold weather don't use it in TA.
