Finally a question I can answer. The wren takes about 2 weeks to hatch eggs, and another three to get them flying. I have always been around them and that is what I have logged in for their cycle. As to getting ther nest out......I'm sorry to say the long forceps may be your best option.
Has any one ever tried a drain cleaner? They disolve organic matter in pipes. Why not bird nests in gas tanks? Might work, I don't know :)
