Thought y'all might get a kick out of this. I have been diligently working on the Super C restoration after hours, my deadline is the Pike Road, Alabama Fourth of July Parade. About two weeks ago, I got the gas tank in good shape, smooth as a baby's rear, primed, and hung it on the barn wall, front side up. This afternoon, a buddy asked me,"Did you know you had a bird's nest in your gas tank?" Sure enough, a wren has built a massive nest inside on top of the baffle, and has three eggs there.I knew I shoulda put the cap back on. I can't disturb them til they leave. Anyway, any ideas on how to remove the nest after they are gone? Long forceps are the first thing I think of.
