I have a mag on the M and I have an H with mag and an H with distributor. Mag timing is adjusted by loosening the bolts that hold the mag in place, the bolts ride in a slot, you simply turn the mag one way or the other until you've got it running where you want it...I do it by ear and as soon as the engine has a nice roll to it you are likely as close as you can get it. I can't say I prefer one system over the other, I haven't had problems with either.......Mike in Exeter Ontario
