Got it, thanks for the clarification. I am new to using tractors and have had a healthy dose of fear/respect for PTO implements instilled in me over the last year from reading all of your posts.

The specifics of the tractor are: a 350U Wheatland Gas and the tiller is a Sleeman Roto-cultivator (I believe) and it was manufactured in Milwaukee. I considered the tiller a real steal because I don't have either 2 or 3 pt on the tractor and this guy is a drag behind, with a built in hydraulic ram to raise and lower it. It is about 6 feet wide, the rotary arms/teeth are about a ft and a half long and it is one heavy son of a gun. The old codger standing beside me at the auction said that he had been using an identical beast for years and that it was wonderful for making a garden patch out of our Alberta clay. I hope he was right.
