$80 may be a lot of money but is it too much to do a job right. The problem with welding on anything that spins is keeping it in balance. Welding may solve one problem but you may create a bigger one if the pulley gets to shimmying on you and wears out the bearing and seal. If you ever decide to sell your cub the next person may not appreciate your cost cutting measures. I have two C's that have been farmerized and it costs more to correct this than it would have been to have done it right the first time. Just my $0.02 worth.
