Michael - Like others have said.... it is pretty hard to beat the diesels of that model group. They can do a lot of hard work pretty reasonable. If you take care of the tractor in all that you do with it, it can last a LOT of years. We have an 856 diesel, and what a great tractor it is !! Decent care and oil changes are very important. I love the IH tractors of that time era..... all were terrific in the field. I do not think you would regret buying one.
