I've been down this road before and thought it was somewhat fixed. Was out pulling a disk today and the '35 F12 got up to temp and starts to sputter and slowly dies off. I can sometimes push in the governor rod and clutch and the it'll sputter and cough and slowly come back but as soon as I rev it back up it starts all over. My F12 is the dual fuel model and has the fuel line vent in the hood. When I take the plug out of the top of the hood vent I can usually see the overflow of fuel from the pump going back in to the main line(gas comes out of the pump goes up to the hood vent then from there it either goes to the carb according to demand or overflows back down to a pipe connected to the main line going into the pump)but I can only see fuel in there sporatically. It will sit and idle and even putt around the yard just fine but as soon as it is working I start to have problems. Like a vapor lock. VERY VERY frustrating, especially when at a show and plowing and stops in middle of field. Fuel pump has had a rebuild kit put in it but can see a little back-flow into the sediment bowl when running. Not really impressed with fuel pump rebuild kit, diaphram seemed very thick, and little flow check disks were very poor quality. Just really ticked off about the whole ordeal. thanks for any ideas......need to disk down weeds BAD!
