Jesse- It doesn't have anything to do with the honesty of the dealer; in a word, it's just "business." As much a s we all love and value our old tractors, the average dealer doesn't want to mess with them because they are hard to sell and then they don't make him much money when he does sell them. You'll do much better selling them yourself. And just as an example, you can buy a Farmall M for $1200.00 dollars, put $1500.00 into it quicker than a minute and still won't end up with an M worth $2700.00. What you will have is an M that will maybe now bring $1700.00. Just the harsh economic facts of life amongst old iron.
