Farmall H Running Temp ?

OK, While I was at it I ordered a new temp guage, the old one did not work (wire was shot). The new one now tells me that even after 25 minutes running (above idle) we don't even move the needle. I've verified this. I can still place my hand on the head and He's not hot. I did verify the gauge works. So, I'm assuming a stuck thermostat ? Second, what is the prefered method of drainging the radiator ? I know where the drain bolt is but darnit, it makes a hell of a mess. The wheels no matter how I turn them don't let me get a bucket under there. Any Vets wanny reveal the secret ? Red ? Last, what's the prefered oil weight or the Hydraulics ? I've heard you can use 30 weight, but bought a gallon of Hydro-something at Farm and Fleet. Supposed to be what I need but I don't necessarily trust those guys. -MD
