farmall h pto shaft

I have recently bought a farmall model h in good running condition with a brush mower but the pto shaft at the rear of the tractor has seen better days the splines on the shaft are wiped out and an adapter of some sort has been monkey wrenched on it. i have got ahold of the correct overrunning clutch for the tractor and fixed the clutch on the mower to prevent this from happening again my question is how do you take the shaft out of the tractor to replace it is it a simple unbolt and replace or is there something else i have to know any help would be great. a diagram of the gear box would be excellent. And so i ask you experts To help a novice Thanks in advance
