EB - A good chance it's a tired hydraulic pump: When the pump is cold it develops good pressure/flow. The priority valve has plenty of flow for both the steering and the remote hydraulics. However as the pump heats up it's pressure/flow drop off. The priority valve senses this and cuts back (or shuts off entirely) flow to the remote hydraulics in order to maintain the priority flow to the PS. That's why the PS continues to operate but the remote will no longer lift.
