Dats what Carharts are fer. hehehe. Wide fronts can be gotten new (after market ones) For under $800+ Shipping.
Used IH fronts for the H are about $1,000 used
$400 if its beat to crud. M fronts seem to a little bit more easy to find. Might be guys who purchased H's new were on a budget and couldnt swing the extra money for the Wide front. The guys who purchased the M's had money to burn so could swing the extra. Just a wild guess on my part.
Cant help with the 6 to 12 volt thing. Mine are still 6 and they dont need a cab ether. Just kidding I have to quit typing after I have had a cocktail.
