been a while since i had one in my hand bill. many of those old engines used a grove that tended to throw oil back toward bearing by centrifical force. dose this make sense? I bet the paper was a gasket. You can make a nice new one out of some heavy paper. As far as you post about geting the old bearing out, your not trying to save it are you?
