A brakes

Working on a friend's A, and think it has a brake band problem. The wheel seems to have additional drag. Could the lining have broken loose and moved to bind the assembly? Got her up on jacks and wheels removed. Do I have to pull the final drives off to get to the bands? I spend most of my time on green and yellow toys, so I could really use some help with this. Thanks Guys!
