gene: I have never been around a lot of A's, however most of the ones I have seen have the pull rod. I was never around these when new, so maybe local users have changed them. Now that you have mentioned it I do remember seeing the push rod, and I guess thinking it was maybe an option. The only pre 1950 I ever had much to do with was a W4. That is why you never see me get too deep into mag discussions, I'm just a 60 year old kid.
