Yes the fluid comes from the trans the oil slinger gear throws it up and the is a channel in the trans case that drains into the belt pulley. You by taking off the unit and have cleaned it up have cleared up this passage as lots of them have gotten all plugged up over the years. By the way DAVE do you want a mounted plow for your A.
