Farmall M (gasoline) Nebraska Test #328: 36.66 belthp, 33.05 dbhp, (CHP 39.23 belthp, 34.44 dbhp) 4233 max pounds pull @ 2.17 mph. John Deere A (gasoline) Nebraska Test # 384: 38.02 belthp, 34.14 dbhp, (CHP 39.45 belthp, 35.30 dbhp) 4045 max pounds pull @ 2.98 mph. The A had a little higher hp test results but the M pulled a little more so basicly it is a toss up in test results for the gasoline models. For the distillate models there was more difference with the M clearly on top. Farmall M (distillate) Nebraska Test #327: 34.82 belthp, 30.62 dbhp, (CHP 36.70 belthp, 32.86 dbhp) 4365 max pounds pull @ 2.19 mph. John Deere A (all fuel on distillate) Nebraska Test #335: 29.59 belthp, 26.20 dbhp, (CHP 30.98 belthp, 26.83 dbhp) 4110 max pounds pull @ 2.25 mph. Harold H
