Two-way hydraulics on H or M

Can you run a two way cyclinder off the existing hydraulics on a H or M ? I have a Hesston PT7 mower conditioner with a two way cylinder and want to use it as a two way instead of venting the other port of the cyclinder. I usually run Green tractors but have moved and have started over and now have Red tractors instead of Green,which I am new to. I thought I saw someone using the front pipe on the left side and the pipe on the right side to run a two way is that right? Thank you for your help.
