Hi Tom, Being in the UK I can't help with the value (although I bought my '79 484 for 1000GBP). But I can tell you it's a great little tractor. I had a David Brown 850 until I found the 484 earlier this year. I really like the synchro gears, indep. PTO and hydraulics, power steering, etc. Makes mowing much better/more fun. It did have a cab, that I've removed (as I don't go out when it's wet/cold), and it was generally a bit rough. But I've had most of it repainted and put new turf tyres on the front and it looks great. Starts every time. This winter it's going to get new sleeves/pistons as there's a fair bit of blow-by coming from the crankcase breather. But it's done nearly 4000hrs, so yours should be good for many years to come. Just change the oils and enjoy!
